Attending many clases and several workshops over the years to improve her knowledge and skills – she has developed a specific style which is specifically evident in the clay art tableware range.
Porcelain, stoneware and earthenware clay is what she mainly works in. An earthy, rustic look is what makes the chocolate range special, while a fresh, classic look is evident in the porcelain range. A range of technical and scientific skills was developed to produce the porcelain tableware range.
Interesting motifs, using the resist method are applied on the chocolate stoneware ranges, while colour is mixed into the porcelain clay before the making process of the porcelain ‘Spring Tide’ range.
Each item is 100% handmade and it in fact the delicate, whimsical style that gives each piece its special character. Irregularities in size, glaze & texture reflect the many human touches received during the making process and these should be embraced.
